The Ford Motor Company plans to display 52 cars at this year's Auto Show Shanghai. This is the 12th annual show in Shanghai, and the 4th consecutive year that Ford has been in attendance. The show opens to the public on April 22.
To show off its "kinetic design," Ford will display the award-winning S-MAX Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV), the Ford iosis X concept crossover, and a new car entirely produced in China that will be revealed at the show. Ford will also be showing other cars specifically for this show, such as the 2007 Ford Focus China Circuit Championship race car, the Giugiaro Mustang concept car, and the Ford Escape Hybrid SUV.
Ford debuted its kinetic design concept in China at the 2006 Beijing Auto Show. It is a flexible brand DNA that is shaping Ford's future design philosophy and has begun to appear on several of the company's new vehicles.
Last year, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co. (CFMA) saw a 112.7 percent increase in China market sales.
